What we build

  • Small business marketing sites Simple, converting websites for local businesses that need to signal trust and capture enquiries.

  • Professional-services sites Compliance-aware builds for accountants, solicitors and healthcare providers, with credentials and regulator-facing pages built in from day one.

  • Retail and eCommerce Shopify themes that don't look like Shopify themes, and custom stores where the platform can't stretch. See our retail sector page for detail.

  • Content sites and marketing hubs Blog-heavy or resource-heavy sites where SEO structure and editorial workflow both matter.

What every website includes

  • Mobile-first responsive design tested on real phones
  • Semantic HTML and schema markup for search engines
  • Fast page loads (Core Web Vitals passing at launch)
  • GDPR-compliant enquiry forms with Turnstile bot protection
  • HTTPS, Cloudflare, and security as standard — not an add-on
  • Analytics wired up (Plausible or GA4 — your call)
  • A CMS your team can actually update without a developer

How we approach design

Websites are business tools first and portfolio pieces second. Our starting position on every project is your target client and the enquiry they need to make. We work backwards from that — the pages they need to see, the questions they need answered, the friction that\u2019s stopping them today — and we design the site around it.

What comes out is usually cleaner than what agencies produce because we\u2019re not padding out a brief with sections nobody asked for. What comes out is also faster to load, faster to update, and easier to change in six months when your business has moved on.

We ship in weeks rather than quarters because the scope is agreed in writing before we begin. Every project has a fixed price, a fixed content list, and a launch date that doesn\u2019t drift because the brief drifts. If your business changes and you want to add pages, book a portal, or bolt on AI later, we scope that as a fresh phase with its own price — not as a mid-project surprise.

The technology decisions sit behind the design decisions rather than in front of them. Our default stack — React on the front-end, headless CMS where a CMS is needed, Python on the back-end when custom logic is required — is fast, secure, well-maintained and inexpensive to host. Where a client\u2019s existing platform makes sense to build on, we do that instead.

The sectors we know well

Every sector has its own quirks — compliance requirements, expected trust signals, the search terms your customers actually use. We\u2019ve written sector-specific guides for the sectors we build for most:

What about a portal?

If your business needs a logged-in space for clients, staff, members or students — document uploads, booking, membership renewals, order tracking — that\u2019s not a website, it\u2019s a portal. Different scope, different price band. See our Portals & Custom Platforms page for what we build and what it costs.

Pricing

Websites start from £799. Larger builds and professional-services sites run £999 – £3,500 depending on scope. Full pricing is published on our pricing page. VAT is charged at 20% on top. We agree scope before work begins.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a website take to build?
Standard business websites take 2–3 weeks from kickoff to launch. Larger sites with 15+ pages or heavy integrations run 3–5 weeks. We agree the timeline before we start.
Do you write the copy?
We can, and often do — plain English tuned to your target client. If you have strong copy already, we work with it. Copy is either included in the fixed fee or scoped separately depending on volume.
What if I need changes after launch?
Minor changes in the first 30 days are included. After that, changes are covered by a care plan (from £79/month) or quoted separately.
Do you work with businesses outside Cardiff?
Yes. We work with businesses across the UK. Cardiff-based clients can meet in person; everyone else works with us entirely online.
What technology stack do you use?
Modern React front-ends with Vite and Tailwind, headless CMS where a CMS is needed, and Python/FastAPI back-ends when custom logic is required. For Shopify retail, we build custom themes on Shopify's platform. We choose the stack to fit the project — not the other way round.
